Welcome to the International Turkish Judo Site!
On this site, you can find information on judo. Almost all techniques which are used in modern competition are listed and illustrated by drawings, gif animations or photos. Some mpeg encoded video clips show judo techniques in competition.
Judo was founded 1882 by Jigoro Kano, and is an olympic sport since 1964. It is a form of wrestling. The goal is to throw your opponent on his back, to hold him on his back for 30 seconds or to make him submit by an armlock or choke-hold.

- Leg techniques (Ashiwaza)
- Hip techniques (Koshiwaza)
- Rear body-drop throws (Ma Sutemiwaza)
- Hand techniques (Tewaza)
- Side body-drop throws (Yoko Sutemiwaza)
The groundwork is divided in subcategories:
